4 Tips for Better Holidays with Your Baby
Hey, it's Kelsey!
I created Movemama to support moms like you.
I know it can be tricky juggling all the to-dos and festivities with a new baby. Here are four tips to make your holiday season more special and less stressful.
Tip 1: Use a baby carrier to help keep your baby healthy.
Worried about your baby getting sick? My #1 tip for events is to baby-wear! Having your baby in a carrier naturally helps avoid the "baby passing" that sometimes happens at family events. Also, nursing in a carrier is a TOTAL game changer. It's something you can practice at home before heading out!
Tip 2: Take breaks!
As moms, we have the tendency to try to do everything! But too many activities can be tiring for you and for baby. Remember, it's totally OK to step away to rest, feed, or just bond with your baby. (And you can say "no" sometimes!)
Tip 3: Capture special moments.
These are times you’ll want to remember forever. You might want to set up a low-key photo shoot of you and your baby in your Christmas jammies or holiday gear. Capture those candid videos. Stamp that tiny, chubby handprint on an ornament or card. You'll thank yourself later!
Tip 4: Get dressed for easier breastfeeding.
Nursing-friendly clothing removes a layer of stress from your day. For those times when you don’t want to deal with a nursing cover, an easy-zip top or dresses is a game-changer. Nursing-friendly clothes can help put you at ease without always having to hide to feed. (Major bonus if they make you feel cute and comfy throughout the day!)
Rooting for you this season and always,
